Melanie
Bio: Hi there! Im Melanie. I’ve spent the past 20 years learning everything I can about babies in one of the largest NICUs in the south, University of Mississippi Medical Center. With an average daily census of 75+ babies, over 100 nurses, 15 NNPs, and 12 Neonatologists from varying backgrounds practicing in Jackson, MS, (read: land of hypertension and diabetes), with very limited resources - the challenge is great. This vocation is overwhelming, at times. Here, I share the good, bad, ugly, and funny of life in the NICU, while juggling life outside of the nursery walls. (Hint: to survive, one needs humor, positive attitude, and a happy place). Knowledge is power and compassion is peace. I hope life gives you a little of both.
Love you!!! 🥰
Ty, sweet lady!😊
You are such an inspiration, my girl 🤍
